A member from the Construction Pre-Apprenticeship Program will be on Campus this week to talk to any Seniors who are interested in the construction industry as a career. This program gives high school seniors the chance to gain hands-on training, explore careers in construction, and earn credit hours that can apply toward an apprenticeship after graduation. Classes meet once a week and students who complete the program will receive $500 in tools that will help them get started in a career in construction. If you are interested, you will need to come to the Counselor's Office to sign up to meet with them.

GCT Archery Parent Meeting September 8th at 6:00 p.m. in the GCT ElementaryCafeteria. $10 fee for each archer to cover the cost of arrows.

Student passes for ALL sports are on sale. Student passes are $20.00 and can be purchased on the Go Fan Website.
We are kicking off a full week of fall sports. Golf has been going for a couple weeks, but we join them this week with tennis, volleyball, and football.

Swim tryouts are September 2nd & 3rd at the Community Center, 4:00-5:30 and September 4th from 3:30-5:00. Mrs. Scott has emailed all students the additional information and google form to fill out. GCT Archery Parent Meeting September 8th at 6:00 p.m. in the GCT ElementaryCafeteria. $10 fee for each archer to cover the cost of arrows.
School picture day for 10th and 11th graders is Tuesday, September 9th.
Students, You have 48 hours to turn in your parent note, Dr. note. ets. After 48 hours, the absence will be unexcused. It is your responsibility to check to make sure your Dr. office faxed us your note. You can check your attendance in HAC.
Friday, August 22nd is our 1st Food Day. Teachers will be selling food items throughout the day.
The Library will be selling Popcorn $1, Water $1, & Flavored water $2
FBLA will be selling sonic drinks for $3, corn dogs for $2, and pretzels for $2 during lunch today, Wednesday, and Thursday for delivery Friday at lunch. Cash Only!!
The choir will be selling candy, snack items, and cold sodas. $2 each cash only. Location: choir room in between classes and in the rotunda during lunches.
Math club will be selling Spicy Ranch Pretzels and Cinnamon Sugar Pretzels on Friday for $2 a bag. These can be bought between classes and during lunch/enrichment (if any are left) in Ms. Teager's room on Champion Hallway Room 409. Cash only... no CashApp.
Rotary will be selling Starbucks frappuccinos for $3 in Mrs. Ritter's room Champion 407.
Any boys that are interested in running cross country this year, there is a sign-up sheet in the office. The deadline to sign-up is this Friday, August 22nd.
Wednesday, August 27th is the last day to request a schedule change. After that date, we will not make schedule changes.
SENIOR INFORMATION
Any senior interested in running for class officer needs to submit an application to Mrs. Roush by Friday, August 22. You can pick up a paper application in Mrs. Roush's room (Champion 411) or complete the application online from the Senior Class Google Classroom.
Seniors, The deadline to submit your baby photo and your Back in the Day photos to the Yearbook is Friday, Sept. 26th. Email them to Mrs. Stephanie Davis at stephanie.davis@gctschools.net

GCT Boys and Girls High School Soccer Tryouts will be Monday August 25th from 3:30 to 4:30. Tryouts will be held at the High School Practice field. Anyone 9th-12th grader is welcome to try out!

Students in Advanced Algebra 2 played spoons like the typical card game with a twist. Blue cards were graphs, yellow cards are interval notation of domain and range, and orange cards are inequality notation of domain and range. Students had to get 3 of a kind to get a spoon.
