GCTSD will be in session Monday, January 13th, with modified morning bus routes. Please see attachment. We will evaluate these routes tomorrow to determine if the afternoon bus routes will also be modified and send out that communication as soon as we make a determination. Be on the lookout in the morning for icy patches from potential refreezing.

GCTSD will be closed Friday, January 10th, due to inclement weather conditions. This day is built into the calendar and will not need to be made up. Be safe and enjoy the snow.

Eagle Nation, Please keep the Family of Maddux Graham in your thoughts and prayers. Maddux passed away Wednesday morning. He was one of our Courage Hall warriors and a beloved member of our student body. Maddux had a kind heart, was a good friend to the students in his class, was loved by his teachers, and loved being a part of Special Olympic bowling program. His presence at GCT will be missed.

English teacher Carissa Woodall is our December Teacher of the Month. We are so blessed to have her working with our students. She has quickly become a Rock Star staff member and does a great job as the English Department's Lead Teacher Thanks to Linwood Sonic for their support.

The GCSO alerted us of a pursuit that could potentially come near the High School today. We delayed a class change for a few minutes until we were notified that the pursuit had ended. Students and staff were never in any danger and we finished the day as normal.

JROTC Cadets were given the opportunity to attend the NCAA Liberty Bowl. First they were fed lunch at the pregame buffet and then assisted the Tennessee Air Guard setting up for the pregame activities. The cadets enjoyed watching the Arkansas Hogs beat the Texas Tech Red Raiders. The cadets also had front row seats for the halftime show after setting up the stage for the performance. After the game was over the cadets pushed the stage onto the field for the Liberty Bowl Championship Trophy, as well as the Game MVP.

The GCTHS Chamber Singers went on their annual Day of Service today. They sang for numerous businesses and organizations in Paragould spreading holiday cheer!

On a day that these students didn't have to attend school, they asked their Rotay Interact sponsor, Madison Ritter, if they could go Christmas Caroling. I can't be any prouder of the kids who are willing to serve others on their own time. #StayGoldenEagles
