After the first all-call, we will ring a 1 second bell. That bell will be your cue to let the next group of seniors go to get measured for their cap and gown. RESCHEDULED! The band community state send off performance and the 5A state marching competition has been moved due to weather!
JROTC Cadets spent their Saturday honoring our Veterans. They placed flags on grave sites. After that, our cadets volunteered at Feed the Vets. It was a privelege to seat, serve and visit with the veterans.
Congratulations to GCTHS's Choir Director, Beverly Finley, on being named All-Region Choir Teacher of the Year! We are so proud of Mrs Finley. She is a tireless, selfless person, who is committed to her students. We are so grateful to have her at GCT.

Red Ribbon week is the week of October 28th-November 1
The dress up days are as follows:
Wednesday: Memes are cool, drugs are cruel (dress as your favorite meme)
Thursday: Don’t let drugs get you spooked (wear a ~school appropriate~ Halloween costume *no masks, dress code (for length of shorts etc) has to be followed*)
Friday: We are red-y to make smart choices (wear all your red attire)
Make-Up School Pictures in the Auditorium for underclassmen. Students will be called out by last name.
Flu Clinic in the Community Room @ 12:30 p.m. Students will be released by intercom at the appropriate time
Auditions for Winterguard (AKA indoor color guard) will be held the week before Thanksgiving break, from Monday, November 18 to Thursday the 21st. The show's theme is entitled "Hoist the Colors" and continues the pirate-trend from the marching band's fall half-time show. We will have dance, flag, rifle, and saber roles to incorporate into the show. If you have any questions please see a color guard member or Mrs. Gage!

Thespian Troupe 7614 is sponsoring "Trick or Treat so Kids Can Eat" before school in the Grand Hall Thursday and Friday.
Please donate non-perishable food items that are appropriate for The Little Pantry or the Backpack Food Program
and receive a special treat.
All Sports Athletic passes for students are in the office on sale for $15.00
Students, You have 48 hours to turn in your parent note, Dr. note. ets. After 48 hours, the absence will be unexcused. It is your responsibility to check to make sure your Dr. office faxed us your note. You can check your attendance in HAC.
SENIOR INFORMATION
Senior Recognition Ads for the yearbook are due 11/1/24. You may pick up an extra yearbook order form or ad order form from the office or Ms Herren. You may also purchase both at Jostens.com
Seniors: You MUST select what pose you want in the yearbook from your Senior Portrait proofs online by 11/1/24. You MUST choose one of the blue background poses in which you ARE NOT wearing a cap and gown. Instructions on how to change your pose or create an online profile with Prestige have been sent to you in an email from Ms. Herren along with the customer care number if you need help.
SPORTS
Friday Football vs Batesville, Eagle Stadium, 7:00 p.m. Pep Rally @ 1:30
This is also Sr night for football, band, JROTC, and golf. The program starts at 6:30
The GCTHS Choirs and JROTC Color Guard performed the National Anthem at the NBA Memphis Grizzlies game Monday night. This is such an enriching experience for our students.
The Senior Class had a pumpkin carving party tonight. I am very impressed with the pumpkins that they created. They had a good time making memories with their classmates. Thank You Mrs Roush for your commitment to the class of 2025 to help make this happen.

Mrs. Dial's Theater Troupe 7614 will be conducting a food drive in the Grand Hall before school on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1st. All food items will be donated to the GCT Little Food Pantry and Backpack Program. Students who donate will be given a special treat.
