Seniors, After 2nd chance breakfast, you will go out to the back of the building to board a bus to go to the job fair at the community center. We will return to the High School for the beginning of 4th period. This is an opportunity to speak to future employers about a job after high school. If you are college or career bound, you can talk about opportunities after you graduate from your college/career program. You will be there for about an hour and then we will bring you back to school. If you leave school after 2nd period and do not want to go, you may stay on campus and go to your 2nd and 3rd period classes. Area businesses are looking to hire over 500 people today. If you currently have a job, you may want to explore other job opportunities that may pay more, have better benefits, or better working conditions than your current job.

Greene County Tech Bands hosted the first NEA Arkansas Marching Arts Association Competition yesterday at GCTJH! Congratulations to our own GCT Winterguard placing FIRST in class Regional A 🥇and our GCT Indoor Percussion placing second 🥈in class Scholastic B! They head to the State Championship on March 20-21st! 💚💛🦅

Lakeside Metal Specialties is our proud sponsor of the golden eagles rail rumblers. Lakeside wants a huge turnout for Saturday's ballgame so they are paying for all 10-12 graders to attend Saturday's game. We need you to come to the office and sign up so we have an idea for a head count. You will need to arrive between 11-11:40 to get counted in this. High School Parents: High School students will have Free Checkouts Wed-Fri of this week beginning at 1:50pm. This is to help make room on our parking lot for the state tournament. We released earlier on Tue. because we played at 1:00 and needed the room earlier in the day. Students will attend all of their academic classes the rest of the week. We have moved Enrichment, which is normally 8th period, to the last period of the day. If a student leaves at 1:50, they will not miss any academic time. If your child has missing work or a poor grade, we encourage them to stay during the enrichment period to get caught up on missing work or get extra help.
1. A student who drives a vehicle to school does not need a note to checkout at 1:50
2. A student who rides with another student driver does need a note to checkout at 1:50. The note needs to include the name of the student they are riding home with.
3. You may write one note for all three days, Wed-Fri.
4. Students riding with parents/guardians , do not need a note.
5. Students who check out before 1:50pm, will be counted absent for the rest of the day.

Eagle Nation, The GCT Prom Committee is looking for Ficus plants or fake greenery to help decorate the Grand Hall for Prom. If you have some, that you are willing to donate, please contact the High School office at 870-215-4460. The deadline to donate is April 2nd.

Parents, If your child drives a vehicle to school, they do not need a note. They may sign out at 12:14 today.

Students and Staff, Chartwells has a special Fat Tuesday lunch prepared for you today in the cafeteria. They will also be throwing beads out to students and the Jazz Band members will be providing special music during both lunches.
Car Riders and Car Drivers dismiss at 12:14 p.m. today.
Students who are going to the game will be dismissed at 12:30 p.m.
Wednesday through Friday Car Riders and Car Drivers dismiss at 1:50 p.m.
FCA will meet in the Practice Gym Wednesday March 5th at 7:30 a.m.
There is a sign-up sheet in the Counselor's Office for any 10th or 11th grader interested in touring VoTech at BRTC in Paragould on Wednesday, March 12th.
Prom Tickets will go on sale on Monday, March 31st. The cost will be $20.00
GCT Elementary is looking for 5 to 8 student volunteers to help out during their Literacy Night on Tuesday, March 11. The event is from 5:30pm - 7:00pm that night. The arrival time is 5:00pm This is a great opportunity to earn Community Service Hours. If you are interested, please email Mr. Schenk.
Anyone interested in trying out for the 2025-2026 Sr. High Dance Team, please check your email and fill out the google form. Forms are due no later than Friday, March 14th. You will also need a physical form turned in by tryouts.
UAMS applications are available in the counselor's office. Application deadline is Friday, March 21st.

Class of 2025! The senior class officers will be hosting a senior game night! It will be Friday, March 14th. From 6 to 8. There will be a dodgeball tournament in the practice gym, and multiple board games set up in the grand hall. We encourage you to invite your favorite teachers to come play board games with us. There will be snacks provided. Come and make memories with your senior class.
SPORTS
Students: If you have an athletic pass you must have it in hand when coming to a ball game. On big game nights there will not be an admin available to testify if you are a student. Cash is not accepted at door entry but debit, credit, cash app card, google and apple pay are accepted.

Parents, We will have free checkouts today beginning at 12:14. If your child drives to school, they may leave at 12-14. If they ride with another student, they will need a check out note. If they are a car rider, please send a checkout note with them. You can also call the office and we will put your child on the list.
Students who leave earlier that 12:14, will be counted absent for the remainder of the day.
