GCTSD computer systems have been hit with a virus and or ransomware. We have lost access to computers and phones at least for the remainder of the day. We will be sending out messages throughout the day with updates. There are no safety concerns and we are working diligently to get everything back up and running.
Parents, we are experiencing Internet issues at the high school today. Our phone service is Internet based. We will not be able to make or accept phone calls until the Internet is back online.
Today’s program honoring our veterans was absolutely incredible. I had chills listening to Mr Bateman sing a song he wrote while in Iraq, inspired by Mr Freligh’s words, and brought to tears by the words of Mr Ramirez.

Students, We will not be serving a 2nd chance breakfast on Thursday, Nov. 10th. Please prepare to eat before school in the Grand Hall from 7:30 to 7:50 or at home prior to coming to school.
Students from Mrs. Harris and Mrs. Paula’s Senior English class visited the Downtown Playhouse in Pocahontas to see “The Mousetrap”. The story was part of the lessons the class had studied during class several weeks ago. Several attended and were delighted to watch a showing!
Our Students did a great job at the Special Olympics bowling tournament last Friday. Congratulations to all of our students who participated in the bowling tournament.
The GCTHS Choir students had a wonderful day at the ArkCDA Region 1 All-Region Clinic and concert November 5th

Mrs. Woodall’s class had a fun activity today. They were learning about debating and it was designed like a speed dating debate. Great job by all of the students.
After studying a unit on civil rights, Mrs. Lunsford’s Transitional English 12 class toured the National Civil Rights museum in Memphis today.
