The high school PACE students got a glimpse of what it’s like to be a high tech surgeon today at St. Bernard’s auditorium. They were invited to test out the Da Vinci V surgical robot and play a game using this amazing machine. The students were placed up against other schools to see who could best manipulate the robot and have the honor of naming it for St Bernard’s. They also had a great time playing other medical games with St. Bernard’s staff, and gained valuable insight from their discussions with Dr. Vance about her experiences using the Da Vinci V surgical robot.

GCT Patrons, This morning we had two reports I wanted to make you aware of: 1. We had a report of gunshots near the Primary school. We notified our SRO. He swiftly investigated and quickly reported that someone was shooting squirrels. All is clear 2. We had a JH student show us a screenshot of a generic post with language referencing pulling a fire alarm, etc. We notified our SRO and the GCSO investigated. They discovered the origin of the post and determined it was unrelated to our school district. All is clear. We are doing some app maintenance so please keep your techconnect app updated as we will continue to send out test push notifications.

Eagle Nation, I hope this message finds you well. We want to inform you about an upcoming crisis drill that will be taking place at the High School today. We understand that hearing about drills can raise concerns, and we want to assure you that the safety and well-being of our students is our top priority. I want to stress to you that today's drill was scheduled last summer and is not a response to the recent school threats in NEA. These drills are a vital part of our safety protocols, allowing us to prepare for various situations in a controlled and supportive environment. Our staff is trained to guide students through the process, ensuring they understand the importance of these drills while minimizing any anxiety. Please know that we will communicate with students in an age-appropriate manner and provide them with support before and after the drill. Thank you for your understanding and support as we work together to keep our school community safe.
