TECH TV is a broadcasting class that teaches students how to write, shoot, and edit video. Students will learn how to produce news stories, music videos, commercials, as well as, producing live events.
TECH TV broadcasts and streams home ballgames and special events. Paragould Light Water and Cable provides TECH TV a channel (channel 26) Monday-Friday to broadcasts these events. TECH TV also streams on Youtube at https://www.youtube.com/user/techtv26.
Students in TECH TV have won numerous local, state and national honors for their stories and projects. Students are members of the Student Television Network, 4State and SkillsUSA.
There are several opportunities for student in TECH TV to travel and compete. TECH TV competes at Communications Day at ASU, SkillsUSA in Hot Springs and 4State in Springfield, MO. STN’s Convention is held at different cities across the country…TECH TV has been to conventions in Anaheim, Los Angeles, Seattle, Atlanta and Orlando.
Local radio stations and television stations are great supporters of this program. Students have the opportunity to shadow and intern at these stations.
