I hope you are all doing well and staying healthy. I know the ending to this school year is not what you had dreamed it would be throughout your years in school. I want you to know that your administration, faculty, and staff all miss you, and this is not the ending that we wanted for you either. You deserve a proper ending to your tenure at Greene County Tech, and although it may not look the same, we are working to give you a memorable and worthy send off.
We are working towards a Senior Slideshow, a virtual Sr. Honor’s Day, and a Virtual Graduation. In order for these events to be everything you want them to be and we want them to be for you, we need your help. There are several forms that we have sent in your school g-mail account (gctschools.net account) asking for pictures and other information. We need you to complete these forms. Also, we will send an email with instructions for uploading your cap and gown picture and video for graduation (Yes, you need to pay for your caps and gown).
On May 4-6, we will begin collecting your school items, uniforms, and providing a place to pay lunch fines, as well as handing out items that are normally handed out at the end of the school year. We will follow the following schedule by last name:
Monday, May 4, 2020
8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Last names A- Crawford
12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Last names Crider - G

12:30-3:30 Last Names that begin with U - Z
You will enter campus by using the southernmost entrance on Hwy 49 (by the Welcome to Paragould sign on Hwy 49). You will follow the road all the way past the Ag building to the back east road. Your first stop will be at the indoor facility to drop off your books, calculators, etc.. We will have people in position there to direct you where to go from there.
We will collect the following items:
- Class Books
- Library Books
- ROTC Uniforms
- Choir Uniforms
- Band Uniforms and Equipment.
- Athletic Uniforms and Equipment
You will be given the following items:
- Locker belongings
- Pictures Returned from the Yearbook staff
- Cap and Gowns (If you have paid for them, you can pay for them at Brown’s Graduation)
- Graduation Cords, Medallions, etc…..
This will be a drive through, drop off, and pick up. You will not have to leave your vehicle. If you have not paid for your cap and gown, be sure to take care of that with Brown’s graduation so we can have them on site to hand them out to you on your assigned pickup date as listed above.
Your transcripts, diplomas, and other end of the year documents that we normally hand out at the end of graduation will be handed out or mailed to you at a different time that will be announced at a later date.
Remember to continue to check and respond to your school email and you need to check the school Facebook page & Remind for further information.

The Greene County Tech School District School is pleased to announce that we have signed a contract with Herff – Jones to produce a virtual graduation for the GCT Class of 2020. This virtual graduation will be on Friday, June 5 at 7:00 PM. GCT plans to honor the senior class with this production for their graduation. We are excited that we will have seniors’ memories archived and produced in a professional manner for students to share with friends and family to be live-streamed and saved for years to come. While a virtual graduation in never a first choice under normal circumstances, we feel that this option is the best at this time. Seniors will be contacted in the near future with directions on how the collection of information will take place. Please know that when the state/national guidelines on COVID-19 are lifted regarding large gatherings, as specified by authorities, we will have an on-campus senior celebration for the class of 2020 and their families.
